#2 - Setting up another account on the same server. The default IMAP ports are 993/465 and the accounts use encryption by default.
My inbound/outbound servers definitely don't use mail or smtp in the server name. The one caveat being making sure to change the provider from Exchange that Outlook uses as the default to IMAP. #1 - The first was letting the Outlook for Android app configure the account using for the account and it configured properly just by entering the email address/password for the account. There is definitely an option to enter the the individual server addresses but before I get to that, I just went thru the exercise of adding 2 personal IMAP accounts since it's been a while I'm hoping I don't have to carry my Nokia Lumia Windows phone around for email security! Is there any chance the Microsoft developer is going to address these issus? We need to be able to select IMAP, enter the incoming email ISP address and outgoing email ISP address (eg mail not imap and stmp), enter port setting in a separate field, and option Similarly the apps outgoing server is unable to be changed.Īnd there is no way of setting encryption for the ports.
So any emails sent to my phone or sent from my phone are not encrypted.īecause I am unable to change incoming server from imap.my isp name:993 to be mail.my ispname:the port number my isp requires.
Unfortunately the Android Outlook app does not allow me to set IMAP, ISP mail address, port numbers for my ISP and there is no option to set encryption.
Android windows encryption software windows 10#
I'm accustomed to using Outlook 2016 on my Windows 10 laptop. I've recently purchased an Android Samsung phone, a new model phone, latest software, Android app updated.
